Road Scholar provides opportunities for older family caregivers in Wisconsin to benefit from the learning, community, and rejuvenation that are the hallmarks of a Road Scholar learning adventure. Participants experience in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning opportunities by land and by sea on travel adventures designed for boomers and beyond. Through the Helen Daniels Bader Fund, a Bader Philanthropy, 20 opportunities are currently available to family caregivers, 60 and older, who live in Wisconsin. These awards can be applied to any one of the thousands of educational programs that Road Scholar currently operates throughout the United States.
“At Road Scholar, we acknowledge the weighty responsibility carried by the remarkable individuals who selflessly serve as caregivers for ill or disabled relatives,” said James Moses, president and CEO of Road Scholar. “We believe that the intellectual stimulation and welcoming nature of a Road Scholar program can serve as the perfect opportunity for renewal and rejuvenation.”
