Bader Philanthropies is committed to improving the quality of life of the diverse global communities in which it works.
The Foundation does this primarily through its funding and convening. But, another important way the Foundation manifests its mission is through a year-long internship program which started in 1999 with one intern focused on administrative tasks.
Today, the internship program offers paid, part-time opportunities for five promising individuals, who provide critical support to every area of the Foundation – program, operations, communications and engagement.
The goal of the internship program is to offer meaningful and experiential learning opportunities for individuals who are pursuing a postsecondary education. In addition, the Foundation exposes interns to the nonprofit sector and philanthropy, regardless of an individual’s career goals.
Many interns have been able to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to workplace projects and develop interpersonal communication and team skills. Examples of intern projects and contributions include coordinating event logistics; supporting projects; analyzing and presenting social media analytics and supporting the creation of collateral materials such as annual reports and e-newsletters.
