Milwaukee’s Juneteenth Day is now known as one of the largest commemorations in the country offering an immersive, historical and cultural experience. Northcott Neighborhood House was the lead organizer of the 53rd Juneteenth Street Festival, which included events such as the Freedom Ball, a scholarship pageant, a parade that was broadcast live, a KidsZone, and information booths lining several city blocks of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
