Michael is the Cultural Identity Director at Bader Philanthropies, where he works on the Foundation’s Strategy & Culture team to support cultural identity work within the organization and across the Milwaukee community. His role brings together relationship-building, community engagement, organizational culture, convening, and strategy. His work also includes supporting culture events and programming, Theory of Change efforts, Bader Leadership Institute projects, and the use of data to inform thoughtful decision-making.
Before becoming Cultural Identity Director, Michael served as a consultant to Bader Philanthropies’ addiction recovery grants area. In that role, he helped support the grants area direction, strengthen relationships with grantee partners, and contribute to the learning and engagement that helped Addiction Recovery efforts grow within the Foundation’s Revitalize Milwaukee interest area.
Michael’s strategy work also extends beyond the Foundation. He has worked with external organizations to strengthen alignment and culture by guiding teams through Theory of Change development, facilitating Outward Performance work, and supporting leaders as they build healthier, more intentional organizational practices.
Michael also serves as Board President of 4th Dimension Sobriety and is a member of the Recovery at Marquette Advisory Board. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his MBA from Marquette University. Outside of his professional life, Michael is deeply devoted to his family and values the grounding, joy, and purpose he finds as a husband and father.
