MKE Urban Stables, located in Milwaukee’s Bayview neighborhood, offers equineassisted therapy and learning programs for at-risk youth and veterans, while also strengthening police relations through outreach programs. Partnering with organizations like Rawhide Youth Services and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the facility features 24 horse stalls, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and a multi-purpose community room. As the first in the nation to combine these services with mounted police patrol, MKE Urban Stables serves as a model for community engagement and therapeutic innovation. The organization has served over 530 at-risk, vulnerable people from the greater Milwaukee area.
